Resource Mondays: Second Chance Legal Clinic

Second Chance Legal Clinic assists those who are working to overcome barriers to employment and housing due to past arrest and conviction records.
Picture
They provide free reentry legal services, assisting with:
  • Criminal record remedies (“expungement”)
  • Housing and Employment rights
  • Occupational licensing
  • Driver’s licenses
  • Criminal background reports
  • Public and private housing applications and denials
  • Employment
  • Driver’s license suspensions
The Clinic is offered at two community-based locations:
  • Goodwill Industries in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin Counties, providing reentry legal services to their workforce development participants.
  • Mo’Magic, an umbrella organization in San Francisco’s Fillmore district, to offer our Clinic on the last Tuesday of each month to the general public. Clients receive free brief services and legal advice, with the possibility of placement with a pro bono attorney for additional representation, where needed.

Last Tuesday of Each Month at 6pm
West Bay Community Center, 1290 Fillmore Street (at Eddy Street)
